Cardamom contains antioxidants called polyphenols, which are thought to play a role in regulating blood sugar and cholesterol. Studies suggest that these antioxidants may protect against heart disease and type 2 diabetes, as well as reduce the risk of dementia. Other studies indicate that the spice also may be effective in treating respiratory infections.

  • 6 Tbsp white wine vinegar or apple cider vinegar
  • 6 Tbsp olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp finely diced onion
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp each dried chives, parsley and tarragon
  • ½ tsp dill weed


  • Add all ingredients to an airtight bottle or jar and shake until well combined! Refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.
