Sour cream has so many applications. It’s a staple around my house. We top anything Mexican with sour cream. It can be combined with spices to make a dressing or dip. It can be added to a sandwich. So many people use it as a potato topping. The options are endless. BUT, store bought sour cream adds to inflammation. So we are providing this recipe so you can still enjoy sour cream on an anti-inflammatory diet!
Homemade Sour Cream
If you like “sour cream” on your tacos, taco salad, as a dip or dressing, try this recipe blending all ingredients until smooth. NOTE this recipe makes 12 servings so you will have some extra for another recipe.

- Blender or Food Processor
Ingredients
- ¼ cup cashews soaked 1–2 hours
- ¼ cup lemon juice
- ¼ tsp salt
- ⅓ cup water
- ⅔ cup ice
Instructions
- Blend all ingredients in a blender or food processor until smooth.
